Suomen Metsä is a charity organization that I launched in January 2022.
The purpose of the charity is to safeguard and protect endangered forests in particularly Southern Finland, surrounding the capital area.
The charity seeks to address an ever-evolving reality that faces us all. Deforestation and climate destruction rendering land unusable and private markets permitting for the irreversible ruin of invaluable ecosystems is a responsibility that we all share, and not only for the state to address.
Suomen Metsä is 100% non-profit and donates every cent towards the acquisition and protection of the aforementioned forestland.
To-date, Suomen Metsä has gathered €70,000+ which has gone towards purchasing and protecting 7+ hectares of forestland on the border of Inko and Lohja.
I have spent considerable time with politicians, business leaders and other non-profits, placing Suomen Metsä onto the Finnish map of charitable organizations.
Suomen Metsä is today a partner to the City of Helsinki, and we operate alongside a number of incredible affiliates that help us to exist.
I served as the Chairman of the Board of Suomen Metsä from its inception in January 2022 until January 2025, and today serve the organisation as the Vice Chairman of the Board.
